FAQs
Day 1
Delhi
After reaching Delhi transfer from airport/railway station to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities. City tour (subject to availability of time). Overnight at Delhi.
Day 2
Delhi - Agra
Post breakfast at hotel check-out and proceed for Agra (220 km/ 3 hrs) by road. On arrival check-in to the hotel at Agra. Later embark on a sightseeing covering the Taj Mahal & the Agra Fort. Return back to the hotel for night stay at Agra.
Day 3
Agra - Lucknow
After breakfast at hotel check-out and proceed for Lucknow (350 km) by road. En-route visit Buddhist sites at Sankissa. On arrival at Lucknow check-in to the hotel.Night stay.
Day 4
Lucknow - Sravasti
In the morning after breakfast at hotel check-out and proceed for Sravasti (160 km/04 hrs) by road. Check-in to the hotel after arrival. Later visit the major attractions of Sravasti like Jetavana, Gandhakuti and Stupa of Angulimala. In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5
Sravasti - Lumbini
After breakfast, check-out and proceed for Lumbini – the birthplace of Lord Buddha (160 km/06 hrs) by road.
Check-in to the hotel upon arrival at Lumbini. Late afternoon pay a visit to the Mayadevi temple and Ashokan Pillar. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6
Lumbini - Kushinagar
Post breakfast at hotel check-out and proceed for Kushinagar (160 km/05 hrs) by road. Kushinagar is famous amongst the Buddhist devotees as the place where Buddha finally attained Mahaparinirvana. Check-in to the hotel. After taking some rest, proceed for the Mahaparinirvana Temple, Rambhar Stupa and Mata Kutir temple. Return back to hotel. Night stay at Kushinagar.
Day 7
Kushinagar - Vaishali
Following breakfast at hotel check-out and proceed for Vaishali (170 km) by road. En route visit Kesariya Stupa.
On arrival check-in to the hotel. Later visit Relic Stupa and the Ashokan pillar. Night stay at Vaishali.
Day 8
Vaishali - Bodhgaya
In the morning after breakfast at hotel, check-out and proceed for Bodhgaya (210 km) by road. En route visit Rajgir and Nalanda. The major sightseeing includes Bimbisara Jail, Gridhakut & Venuvan in Rajgir and Nalanda University ruins & museum at Nalanda. On arrival at Bodhgaya, check-in to the hotel and night stay.
Day 9
Bodhgaya
Post breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. Visit Mahabodhi Temple, Sujata kutir, Buddhist Monasteries and the 80 ft Buddha statue. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 10
Bodhgaya - Varanasi
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for Varanasi (260 kms/4 hrs).On arrival check-in to the hotel at Varanasi and relax. Evening visit the ghats of Varanasi and witness the Ganga aarti. Night Stay at Varanasi.
Day 11
Varanasi
After breakfast, set off for an excursion to Sarnath. Visit the Dhamekh Stupa, Sarnath Museum, Ashokan Pillar and Mulgandha Kuti Vihara. Later in the day check-out from the hotel and transfer to airport/railway station. Tour ends.
